The leak surfaced on the Gaming Leaks and Rumours subreddit (discovered by Eurogamer) on May 10, when a member claimed to have gotten the game's Collector's Edition early on May 8.
The Reddit poster stated that they had completed the game and proceeded to upload spoiler-filled photographs and details from it, including menus and interface, demons and weapons, characters, and cutscenes. The stolen pictures and data reveal major spoilers for Doom: The Dark Ages.
The leak includes information on items in the game, key story moments, the Bestiary, HUD, difficulty settings, and much more.
Around the same time, Bethesda released a new launch video for Doom: The Dark Ages, as well as information on the game's worldwide pre-load and early access periods. The game will be available for preload beginning May 11 at midnight UTC. Users who possess the Doom: The Dark Ages Premium Edition will get early access to the game beginning at midnight UTC on May 13, up to two days before launch.
Meanwhile, Doom: The Dark Ages reviews have been released, with the game receiving a generally favorable reaction with average ratings of 86 and 85 on OpenCritic and Metacritic.
