Virtua Fighter 5 REVO, a remake of the original Sega hit from 2006, is coming to platforms. Sega revealed on Sunday that the fighting game, which was released on PC in January, would soon be available for PS5, Xbox Series S/X, and Nintendo Switch 2. Virtua Fighter 5 REVO for consoles will have cross-play compatibility, rollback netcode, and other features. The publisher also shared an update on the new Virtua Fighter project being developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio.

Sega announced the multi-platform release of Virtua Fighter 5 REVO during a Virtua Fighter Direct webcast on Sunday.
"I know we've kept you waiting, but our Steam release Virtua Fighter 5 REVO is finally coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2," Sega's legacy Virtua Fighter projects producer, Seiji Aoki, announced during the webcast.

Aoki confirmed that the console remaster will have cross-play, the same rollback capabilities as the Steam version, plus more material announced in a future update. There is currently no official release date for Virtua Fighter 5 REVO on console.
Virtua Fighter 5 REVO was published on PC (via Steam) on January 28. The remaster includes 4K graphics, more content, and rollback netcode that reduces latency while online gameplay.
