Prince Harry has expressed significant worry following his recent BBC interview, in which he discussed King Charles' health.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold alleged that the Duke of Sussex may have seriously undermined family trust and sparked unneeded gossip.
Harrold, who worked closely with the royals, claimed the King would feel "betrayed" if Harry publicly revealed sensitive information.
"This is the reality of it, and I just don't know why," he told the BBC. "Hand on heart, I knew Harry very well. I know the family well. "I knew they were close."
The expert went on to say, "I just don't get it. I'm as perplexed as you are. I'm not sure what Harry is attempting to achieve.
"And, you know, his grandma died throughout all of this. The worst-case scenario I can think of is the King dying... can you imagine?
"This entire uproar is still going on, and if he's already lost his grandma and may lose his father... What then?
"I just don't comprehend what Harry believes he'll achieve. That is what I truly don't get. It's really a very unusual circumstance."
