Who will become the next James Bond? The question is being posed, and Pierce Brosnan has the answer.
Brosnan, who has portrayed James Bond in four films ranging from Golden Eye (1995) to Die Another Day (2002), has discovered the appropriate actor to play the suave spy.
But the 72-year-old did not want to admit it.
The Irish actor first avoided answering the repeated inquiry.
"I have no choices. "I'll leave it up to the powers that be," he said, adding, "It's a very exciting moment in James Bond history." Barbara [Broccoli] and Michael [G Wilson] have surrendered control of it."
When The Hollywood Reporter mentioned his MobLand co-star Tom Hardy, the actor immediately answered with support.
"Oh! Tom would be fantastic," he admitted, but added, "There are so many terrific actors out there who could play this role. I have no idea who it is. I wish tremendous success to whoever it is.
Surprisingly, the 47-year-old is already a strong contender in the eyes of the people, who have already considered the actor for the renowned part.
For those who are unaware, Amazon MGM Studios currently oversees the Bond series, having fully taken over creative control and the reigns of the movie when its former producers, the Broccoli family, stepped down.
