Walt Disney Productions, a world-renowned production organization, has taken a significant choice.
The corporation has announced the second round of job losses beyond 2023, this time impacting employees in the film and television areas.
Disney is responsible for supporting major films such as Lilo & Stitch, Mufasa: The Lion King, Frozen, Moana, and many others.
Unfortunately, the company has been obliged to restructure its personnel and cut costs as the audience's viewing habits have changed. Most of them are shifting to streaming services.
The entertainment conglomerate's spokesperson stated, "As our industry transforms at a rapid pace, we continue to evaluate ways to efficiently manage our businesses while fuelling the state-of-the-art creativity and innovation that consumers value and expect from Disney."
"We have taken a surgical approach to reducing the number of affected employees," the source told the BBC.
The studio had a significant hurdle this year following the disastrous press tour and dismal reviews for the live-action adaptation of Snow White starring Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot.
However, it was able to recover considerably with the release of the live-action adaptation of the 2002 cartoon feature Lilo & Stitch.
