Justin Bieber has been posting contemplative messages on various topics for a while, but his last one was about love.
The 31-year-old musician came to Instagram on Tuesday, June 3, to share his opinions on "loyalty over love."
"'Loyalty' is manipulative language," the Baby hitmaker said, adding, "Loyalty is a duty, it's an obligation."
Bieber said, "That is not free will. Love isn't an obligation. "Love is a delight."
He used a mafia comparison to convey his point of view, stating, "Please stop using loyalty to keep people around you out of your own fear..." It's harming us. Mafia members employ loyalty to maintain members of their gangs.
The Grammy winner said, "Let us not perpetuate this manipulative language." "Love will always prevail over loyalty."
The Sorry singer did not explain what sparked the argument over love and fidelity, but it came after an earlier tweet in which he stated, "God decides what we deserve."
Fans speculated that the back-to-back social media posts addressed current rumors regarding Bieber's marital problems with his wife Hailey Bieber.
When Justin Bieber danced with SZA on stage and kissed her hands, questions about their marriage resurfaced. Fans commented on the moment, writing, "Loyalty is not a duty if you love somebody."
Another person said, "If you don't love your wife, just say that damn."
"You should be loyal to your spouse, just saying," said one more. "I've always found that when men start preaching about 'love over loyalty,' they've already betrayed both," observed still another.
