Kate Middleton is still hurting from her brother-in-law, Prince Harry's, treachery as she takes over a critical role from King Charles.
The monarch adores his "darling daughter-in-law," and royal insiders believe Charles entrusts her with vital jobs and obligations.
The Princess of Wales, who fought cancer for nine months before going into remission last year, put her health concerns aside to take on a crucial role for the queen and the monarchy's future.
Prince Harry, who formerly had a strong relationship with Kate, has launched several accusations at the royal family with his wife Meghan Markle. According to writer Helena Chard, Kate acted as the "Sussexes aired more and more allegations, grievances, and untruths against members of the British royal family".
"While battling illness, Princess Catherine went into protective mode," the royal expert told Fox News Digital. "Her goals have been protecting the crown, future-proofing the monarchy, [honouring] the late Queen Elizabeth II's legacy and protecting her children from Prince Harry's hurtful commentary."
Previously, it was alleged that Kate served as a go-between for Prince William and Harry. However, Chard said that, while Kate was "saddened" by the schism, she will not take any action.
"Catherine and Harry shared a fun humour and were often seen giggling together at events," she told me. "Sadly and upsettingly, Princess Catherine was dragged into the public negative narrative which was a real smack round the face for the kind sister-in-law who tried hard to be the peacemaker between the brothers."
While the mother of three was "genuinely happy" and "thrilled" when Harry met Meghan, she is hard to understand why Harry "won't bite his tongue and continues his destructive path".
Despite her previous strong relationship with her loving brother-in-law, it appears that the future queen is focused on the Crown and will do whatever she can to safeguard it.
