Prince Harry was praised for his down-to-earth manner, while his bride Meghan Markle was chastised for her lack of approachability.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex retired from their top royal positions in 2020. The couple currently lives in Montecito, California, with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
According to the Daily Mail, royal analyst Richard Mineards shared a frightening account of an old historian's brush with the former Suits actress.
When the couple relocated to California, an old local expressed a desire to present a copy of his documentary, but he never had the opportunity.
"The old man never got past the gate," the expert said, adding that the event demonstrated Meghan's "distant" relationship with the Montecito neighborhood.
According to the neighboring resident, the mother of two presented a "very controlled image."
"She is attentive to every appearance, word, and gesture. And here in Montecito, we value ordinary individuals, even renowned ones," Richard explained.
Locals accused Meghan of "never" attempting to "fit in" with the residents of Santa Barbara County community.
On the other hand, her husband, the Duke of Sussex, had a particular place in the hearts of the inhabitants.
Richard stated, "He is usually personable and friendly, with that distinctive Windsor accent. He smiles, shakes hands, and freely exchanges a few words."
"We've seen him at the beach, an organic coffee shop, and cycling in the hills," the royal expert continued.
"Harry has maintained his excellent nature. We believe he is better at peace here, despite his own challenges." Richard added, "Meghan, on the other hand, is almost invisible. She is present, of sure, but she does not reveal anything about herself. Her connection with Montecito is distant.
However, the Sussexes spokesperson has not made any formal statements.
