Sadie Stanley spoke on her experience working with Joshua Jackson on the set of Karate Kids: Legend.
Stanley portrayed Mia Lipani, a kind-hearted New Yorker and the daughter of former boxer Victor Lipani (Jackson). She is also the romantic interest of the main character, Li Fong (Ben Wang), a Kung Fu prodigy adapting to life in New York.
In an interview with ScreenRant, Stanley described her tight relationship with Jackson as, "That process was very natural." We had lunch when we initially came, hung around for a while, and just got to know each other."
"He has a daughter of his own, Juno, who's adorable, and he is such a dad," she told me. "He continuously talks about her, gushes over her, displays images of her, and discusses what she's into these days and who she is. "He clearly exudes dad energy."
The actor of Kim Possible claimed that her role in the film is "very protective" of her father.
"Of course, Mia is a little protective of her father. She lost her mother when she was young, which pushes you to mature a lot at that age," she explained.
Stanley stated, "She just has her dad. It's just them two against the world, laboring at this pizza restaurant to make ends meet."
In addition to Stanley, Jackson, and Wang, Karate Kid: Legends stars Jackie Chan and Ralph Macchio. It was released on May 30.
