Troll 2 wowed viewers as Netflix released a trailer for the highly awaited sequel to the Norwegian horror thriller.
The latest teaser shows Nora (Ine Marie Wilmann), Andreas (Kim Falck), and Captain Kris (Mads Sjøgård Pettersen) embarking on the next part of the narrative.
According to the official description, "When a dangerous new troll awakens, wreaking havoc across Norway, beloved adventurers Nora, Andreas, and Captain Kris are thrust into their most perilous mission yet."
"To stop the creature's merciless rampage, they must form new alliances and dive into the country's rich history for answers. As the clock ticks and the troll's trail of destruction widens, our heroes confront insurmountable odds in their quest to keep their nation from sinking into darkness."
The project's director, Roar Uthaug, expressed delight in the film's global reaction.
He continued, "With the sequel, we are aiming high - increasing the scale, developing the tale, and producing a troll-sized extravaganza unlike anything you've ever seen before. I can't wait for fans to experience the journey we have planned."
Wilmann, 40, reprised her part as Nora and stated, "Diving into the 'Troll' journey was great enjoyable the first time around, and we were totally delighted by its global popularity. I began working on the sequel with much respect and eagerness. We had a great experience producing Troll 2, and we're excited to share it with everyone."
The original, which premiered in 2022, became Netflix's most popular non-English title.
Troll 2 is scheduled for release in December 2025.
