Under whatever circumstances, King Charles wants Meghan Markle and Prince Harry to attend his coronation.
According to pundit Daniela Elser, the queen of Britain feels having the Sussexes in London will be a smart PR move.
"His Majesty is of the opinion that if the Sussexes stayed away from London, it may wind up being a 'bigger distraction' than having the two in the Royal Family's midst," Elser writes.
"Charles wants Harry and Meghan inside Westminster Abbey on his big day and is ready to offer the Sussexes nice seats and not place them behind a handy pillar or weird German cousin who is abnormally tall, all in the service of a PR-crisis-free coronation.
"For Charles, this appears to be a containment technique, some way of minimising the risks of the Sussexess having some sort of TV tantrum precisely at the moment Justin is anointing him with oil or reading the coronation oath," she says.
The announcement comes as the Palace prepares for His Majesty's coronation in May.
