Apple just revealed a new MacBook Pro series with the M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max chipsets. The newest M4 Pro and M4 Max CPUs, constructed with sophisticated 3-nanometer technology, have achieved excellent scores on Geekbench. The M4 Pro and M4 Max both have higher Geekbench performance scores than Apple's M3 Pro and M3 Max. The MacBook Pro with Apple M4 Pro looks to feature 48GB RAM, however the MacBook Pro with M4 Max is advertised with 128GB RAM. The listing for both devices shows a base frequency of 4.5GHz.

Apple's M4 Max processor has appeared on the Geekbench website with the model number 'Mac16,5'. In single-core testing, the new chip achieved 4,060 points, but in multi-core tests it scored 26,675. It also outperforms the M2 Ultra, which had 21,471 points.
The stated M4 Max chipset includes a 16-core CPU with a base frequency of 4.50GHz. It is equipped with 128GB of RAM and macOS 15.1.
Meanwhile, a 16-inch MacBook Pro was listed on Geekbench under the moniker 'Mac 16,7' and powered by an M4 Pro CPU. The laptop is advertised with 48GB of RAM and runs macOS 15.1. It achieved a single-core score of 3,925 and a multi-core score of 22,669, which is much greater than the Apple M3 Pro's 3,138 single-core and 15,480 multi-core scores. The listing shows a base frequency of 4.51GHz.
Apple unveiled its updated MacBook Pro series last week, with M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max CPUs. They come in 14-inch and 16-inch display sizes and will be available in India and other regions on November 8.
The MacBook Pro (2024) starts at Rs. 1,69,999 for the basic model with an M4 processor and a 14-inch display.
