Chris Martin, Coldplay's vocalist, just went under the trap door in front of the audience during their final act on the 'Music of the Spheres Tour' in Melbourne, Australia.
He stumbled on stage at a sold-out performance at the Marvel Stadium.
During the concert's intermission, Martin was reading out the fan boards while walking backwards; this is when he fell down a hole, shocking the audience.
A video has gone viral on social media, showing the 47-year-old artist going down the hole. Meanwhile, his adoring audience could be heard panting as their favorite musician vanished off stage in seconds.
Soon after recovering from the shock of the concert's unexpected catastrophe, he assured supporters that 'that's not planned' and thanked a production person beneath the stage for 'grabbing' him in time.
Chris then proceeded with the performance.
Prior to this, Coldplay created an unfavorable record in their history when they had to perform live on stage without one of their members during a Melbourne gig.
