Jeremy Renner, who was involved in a catastrophic snowplow accident last year, detailed the whole experience in a recent interview.
The Avengers star described how he struggled to breathe while the machine crushed him.
"I remember my head cracking on the thing and it just pressing against me; it's exactly how you imagine it would feel.
"An immovable object meets a crushing force: something has to yield. But, thank God, my skull did not completely collapse. Then it kept going. Undulate, undulate, undulate.
The Hawkeye star said that both his cheekbone and eye socket had broken. Renner said that he could see his left eye with his right eyeball.
The 53-year-old star said, "I was begging for a breath. I needed to expel all of my air energy before I could suck it back in. "There was no breathing happening."
"I had to utilize my abdominal muscles to push, which is difficult to do when you have 14 shattered ribs and a punctured lung. "I didn't know this at the time; I just needed to get air," Jeremy told Men's Health magazine.
Soon after his rehabilitation, the Bourne Legacy actor appeared in the television series Mayor of Kingstown.
