Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are under fire for an alleged 'rewrite' of how they met in 2016.

 

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have faced criticism for reportedly seeking to "rewrite history" about how they met in 2016.

The pair, who first met in mid-2016, have previously given conflicting tales of their meeting, originally stating they met on a blind date.

They later claimed that Instagram played a part in their launch. Their whirlwind courtship swiftly escalated, culminating in an engagement at the end of 2017, followed by a dream wedding in Windsor on May 19, 2018.

Richard Eden, the diary editor for The Mail, expressed his worries on Palace Confidential, accusing Meghan of attempting to rewrite their love story.

"There's one version that was out at the time, and she's trying to say, no, that's not what happened at all," Eden told me.

He was echoed by journalist Mishal Husain, who warned against revising historical narratives.

Following the publication of the teaser for Harry's highly anticipated Netflix series, Polo, which premieres next month.

Netflix released a two-minute trailer on Thursday, promising an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the high-stakes, glamorous world of polo.

The trailer's tagline reads: "Polo, a behind-the-scenes look at the fast-paced and glamorous world of the sport, is coming to Netflix on December 10."
