Usher recently said that he still looks youthful in his 40s.
Speaking with PEOPLE, the rapper stated, "Skating has always kept me young."
"And it's something that I believe is necessary for today's youth," the 46-year-old added.
The R&B star remarked, "Everyone spends so much time browsing. We want you to roll out, be active, and have a wonderful time."
Usher remarked about skating, "It's a form of self-care."
The singer stated, "The freedom and expression, I really feel like it's a language when you get deeper into the cultures of skating for rhythm, period." And people need to grasp how much fun this is.
Usher wants them to go the ice as well. "There's no judgement here," he says. "You tumble and get back up. "We invite the entire family to come."
On November 16, Usher and partner Liberty Ross launched Flipper's World Roller Boogie Palace, a first-of-its-kind full-service skating rink residency at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas.
"This is kind of a victory lap for Las Vegas," he told the media.
Usher went on to say, "It really all started with my residency, and then we had a second residency and played the Super Bowl." We traveled to Paris. Now that I'm back on tour, I'm in the zone, having a fantastic time, and doing things I truly enjoy."
Meanwhile, Usher encouraged the rookie roller skaters to join them on the rink.
"As a youngster, I recall performing at rinks. "It's always been the ground for culture," he said.
Usher said, "There is no judgement here. You fall and get back up. "We invite the entire family to come."
