Following a significant loss for Buckingham Palace, the royal family speaks out.

An update regarding Prince Edward's new royal engagement to promote joy on Christmas Day was released by King Charles' office on December 13.

Delightful images of the Duke of Edinburgh were shared on the royal family's official Instagram account along with a heartfelt message.

It says, "The Duke of Edinburgh has visited @CashForKidsNI’s Mission Christmas warehouse in Belfast."

"The charity is aiming to make sure that all children living in poverty in Northern Ireland have something to open on Christmas Day."

"During his visit, The Duke spoke to staff and volunteers, before touring the facilities and preparing a gift box for someone to receive."

Notably, the Duke of Edinburgh received an update from the royal family following the arrest of a maid from Buckingham Palace for unsuitable behavior at a celebration.

"She started smashing glasses and abusing our staff members, so we had to call the police," the insider told The Sun.

After 24 hours, the 24-year-old maid was later freed from police custody.
