Jim Carrey has said when asked if he will ever appear in a follow-up to his How the Grinch Stole Christmas movie from 2000.
The comedian mentioned in an interview that he would like to reprise his role in the family comedy. The actor believes he can play the part again, but only with one restriction.
According to the renowned actor from The Mask, adopting the green character's persona is a very "painful" procedure. He would only do the movie, then, if he could avoid the entire makeup process.
Jim told ComicBook.com in a statement, "Oh, gosh, you know, if we could figure out the Grinch."
He went on: "The problem is that I wear a lot of makeup and find it difficult to breathe on that day. The process was quite painful.
The actor who plays Sonic the Hedgehog, however, added that he will now be able to play any character, including "The Grinch," because motion capture technology has been developed.
"I couldn't stop thinking about the kids."It's for the children. It's for the children. It's for the children. And now that motion capture and similar technologies are available, I can do other things. "In this world, anything is possible," the 62-year-old artist proposed.
Ron Howard was the director of Jim Carrey's 2000 children's special. 'Best Makeup and Hairstyling' was another Oscar the movie won.
