James Van Der Beek seemed to be doing his best to help.
Van Der Beek is utilizing the 25th anniversary of Varsity Blues to help families suffering the financial burden of cancer treatment.
On November 22, the 47-year-old actor revealed on Instagram and Facebook that he is selling signed products inspired by the 1999 sports film, with all net earnings benefiting the cause.
He posed for shots in a replica West Canaan Coyotes jersey, reflecting the appearance of his Varsity Blues character, Jonathan "Mox" Moxon, and carrying a football.
He continued: "100% of my net proceeds will go to families recovering from the financial burden of cancer (including my own)."
The jerseys, which come in a variety of sizes and pricing points, can be purchased through his official website, JVDB.Shop.
Last month, the celebrity told People that he had been diagnosed with colon cancer.
"I'm taking steps to resolve it, with the support of my incredible family," he informed me. Van Der Beek and his wife, Kimberly, have six children: Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia, Gwendolyn, and Jeremiah.
