Meghan Markle's upcoming brand has made quite a commotion in the press since its announcement, and it has only continued to elicit responses.
The Duchess of Sussex was forced to rename American Riviera Orchard to As Ever after her trademark registration for the previous name was refused. They contended that a geographical location's name could not be trademarked.
Even though Meghan altered the name of her lifestyle firm, two apparel lines called As Ever appeared, bringing her a new difficulty.
The former Suits actress may continue to use the brand, but she cannot sell goods under the label. The Duchess has submitted a last-minute application to sell dry biscuit and crêpe mixtures under her new brand, according to The Mirror.
Prince Harry's wife had previously stated that she would be releasing "fruit preserves," but it looks that she will also be focused on selling dry foods that can be packed and shipped throughout the world.
However, the application is a late move because her Netflix comedy, With Love, Meghan, is scheduled to premiere next week on the site. And the entertainment complements her business.
Meghan is expected to establish a new debut date for As Ever, despite having already built up the official membership website.
The news comes after Page Six revealed that Meghan's entertainment agency, WME, dismissed her.
Sources said the Duchess was fired because she was "too demanding" and "difficult to work with."
However, WME representatives believe that they are still working with Meghan.
