Sandra Bullock, a Hollywood icon, recently voiced fear for her family's safety when internet criminals attempted to use her name.
In a message to PEOPLE on February 3, the Speed actor allegedly cautioned fans about phony social media profiles.
Sandra clarified: "My family's safety, as well as the innocent people being taken advantage of, is my deep concern, and there will be a time when I will comment more."
However, the Bird Box actress stated that our first goal is "to assist law enforcement in dealing with this situation."
Sandra explained that she had no involvement in any type of social media.
The Bullet Train actress, who has two children, made the revelation after her younger sister Gesine Bullock-Prado said that many individuals were trying to be her on Facebook.
On February 2, Gesine turned to Instagram and uploaded screenshots of many phony profiles, claiming to be her sister Sandra.
"When I report, I also report to a security service that gives the account addresses directly to a Meta employee," Sandra's sister claimed in a lengthy post.
Gesine continued: "These crime rings and scams are well known by the company and the world but the fact that I'm put in danger, as is my livelihood, doesn't mean a damn thing."
