Prince William appeared to throw a tremendous blow to his brother Prince Harry, who was left "fuming" with his latest action.
The Prince of Wales, who is still separated from his younger brother, made his position on the Sussex schism apparent after rewarding a close buddy for "loyalty".
On Friday, the future King revealed that his former adviser, Jason Knauf, who first claimed Meghan Markle was harassing Palace servants, would now serve as CEO of his Earthshot Prize.
A royal staffer who worked with Jason in the palace told The Daily Beast that William praised his former aide for his dedication to him.
"Jason shown his commitment to William and was rewarded. "He was caught in the middle of a very nasty situation with Meghan, and he simply told the truth," the aide told the site. "Jason is one of the good guys."
The future king stated in a statement that they needed to "scale more inspiring solutions to the world's greatest challenges" and that Jason would be in charge for the next five years.
In response, the former royal worker stated that he was "honoured" to be selected.
Insiders reported that Prince Harry was displeased with his trip to Ukraine. Many royal observers believe it was a premeditated act by Harry, who knew William would be frustrated.
Now, it appears that William made a pointed motion towards the Sussexes, indicating that he is still standing in the way of their potential royal homecoming. This also serves as a warning to Harry and Meghan that once William ascends to the throne, he will not hesitate to deprive them of their 'beloved' Sussex title.
