King Charles and Queen Camilla are looking forward to a busy year after Buckingham Palace made a significant announcement regarding the monarchs.
After completing a successful four-day visit to Italy on Thursday, Charles and Camilla will participate in a number of State Visits as the King continues his cancer treatment, a palace official said.
While no specific nations were mentioned, it was implied that Charles would use his soft power to keep peace throughout Europe.
Charles was recently involved in diplomatic negotiations following a catastrophic meeting between US President Trump and Ukrainian President Zelenskyy at the White House in February, which raised worries.
After the event, Charles visited with Zelenskyy to offer his support. He also met with Canada's former Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to discuss worries about Trump's statements for the country. The King later paid visits to Scotland and Ireland.
"His Majesty cares very much about all of the countries where he has the privilege of being King and Head of State," a spokeswoman for GB News said.
"He has always backed Canada; there is nothing new about it. What would ordinarily be considered routine displays of support appear to be receiving a bit extra attention."
They kept going: "But showing support for Canada is something he's always done and that he will continue to do."
It is probable that Charles and Camilla's next state visit will be to Canada. Previous reports indicate that the King was willing to come to the nation, but those preparations were put on hold after his cancer diagnosis.
