Queen Camilla expressed optimism for King Charles' health as he continues his cancer treatment.
The King and Queen have recently returned from a successful State Visit to Italy, and their spirits are high as they focus on their obligations to the monarchy.
During a chat in Rome, the 77-year-old monarch said that despite Charles' recent hospitalization due to treatment side effects, the King would not take a holiday, according to The Telegraph.
She stated that King Charles wants to do "more and more and more" because "he loves his work and it keeps him going".
"And I think it's fantastic; you know, if you've been sick and are recuperating, you're getting better, and now he wants to do more and more and more. That's the problem," she said. "That's what he's driven by, helping others."
Previously, the Queen expressed her dissatisfaction with her inability to persuade the King to slow down until he had fully recovered.
A senior courtier stated that the King "enjoys his work, and he enjoys engaging with as many people as possible." They continued: "He has a voracious appetite for reading - and because he reads a lot, he learns a lot."
They went on to say, "In this job, as in his previous one as Prince of Wales, he understands how privileged he is to be able to make a difference and is committed to do so. As we can see, since his rule began two and a half years ago, he has accomplished this in a variety of ways."
