Meghan Markle is learning to filter out the noise.
The Duchess of Sussex spoke at the TIME100 Summit in New York City on April 23, about handling public scrutiny and safeguarding her mental health.
"I've made a very, very conscious effort to create boundaries for myself and for my mental health, for my well-being and certainly to role model that as well for my children," she told Time's CEO, Jessica Sibley.
Meghan, 43, confesses to avoiding reading online comments to her work, which includes her Netflix program With Love, Meghan, her As Ever brand, and her new podcast Confessions of a Female Founder.
She finds inspiration in Tina Fey's famous line: "If you ever start to feel good about yourself, they have this thing called the internet…" There are plenty of people there who dislike you."
Being a mother to Archie, five, and Lilibet, three, has only reinforced her limits. "I'm conscious of not just raising very strong and confident young woman, but also having a son," added the lady. "It starts with whatever is going on internally."
