Time magazine commended Kate Middleton for openly announcing her cancer diagnosis on Thursday.
The Princess of Wales was included to the magazine's 2025 Time100 Health list for increasing cancer awareness through her public declaration and continued treatment.
On May 8, TIME announced its second annual health list, which includes the 100 most prominent persons in the health industry.
The wife of Prince William was praised for disclosing her cancer treatment, breaking with the royal family's normally cautious attitude toward medical information.
"As a popular public figure, Middleton's revelation brought significant attention to cancer awareness and treatment, including the rise in early-onset cancers in patients under age 50," according to a TIME tribute.
TIME said that the princess "became a beacon for cancer patients, and inspired others to address their own health."
Other famous personalities on the 2025 list were Melinda French Gates, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Colin Farrell, and Seth Rogen.
Kate Middleton is gradually returning to royal responsibilities after finishing her chemotherapy in August.
