Prince Harry made an unexpected appearance in Beijing, China, just as King Charles began his historic royal visit to Canada.
On Monday, May 26, the Duke of Sussex spoke at the Envision 2025 Global Partner Conference, where he focused on sustainable tourism. As co-founder of Travalyst, Harry challenged the industry to confront climate change head on.
"Climate change isn't just an environmental challenge - it's a critical business emergency, costing the global economy $143 billion dollars annually," he stated, according to the official Travalyst website.
"We must never give up," the 43-year-old king said.
Harry lauded the Asia-Pacific region for being "strongly positioned" to lead in sustainable travel efforts and urged industry executives to "reaffirm [their] commitment to being a force of good."
His unexpected travel comes only hours after his estranged father, King Charles, arrived in Ottawa for a historic royal visit to Canada.
