Prince William performed an important royal duty without Kate Middleton on Wednesday, when he presented medals during an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle.
The future King left royal fans wondering when he appeared without Kate Middleton ahead of a royal family reunion for Trooping the Colour, the military procession commemorating King Charles' birthday on June 14.
The Prince and Princess of Wales published a lovely video and photographs from the event on their official Instagram account.
In the video, William is shown distributing insignias to a group that includes actress Anne-Marie Duff, Chanel CEO Leena Nair, Everton F.C. soccer club manager David Hoyes (previously of West Ham United), and Dawn Astle, the founder of The Jeff Astle Foundation.
Kensington Palace said in the caption, "Congratulations to all those receiving awards in Windsor today. Your hard work, devotion, and service have truly distinguished you. This acknowledgment reflects the difference you've made. "Well done!"
