Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have always had a notably strong relationship with their mother, Sarah Ferguson, and the royal sisters are now speaking up about the significant life lessons she has taught them.
Though the couple prefers to keep their personal life private, they frequently thank the Duchess of York for her constant support and wisdom.
From royal appearances such as Trooping the Colour and Royal Ascot to collaborative charitable work, the three has maintained a unified image both on and off the public stage.
Princess Eugenie recently appeared on Cressida Bonas' podcast Lessons From Our Mothers, where she discussed the most valuable advice she and Beatrice had received from their mother.
"For me, it's the fire inside the strength inside of you," Eugenie said. "And how to bring that out, and to pull it in when you most need it."
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie proceeded to reflect on their mother's enduring impact, describing how Sarah Ferguson influenced their approach to sibling fights, including a famous squabble over a pair of Converse sneakers.
The sisters, who are still close as adults, said their mother always emphasized collaboration over confrontation, teaching them the importance of working together and resolving problems with empathy and understanding.
Beatrice recounted one of their childhood fights, saying, "It was over a pair of Converse." Mum just stepped into the struggle and said, "Come on, you can do it!"
