Colin Farrell, best known for his role as the iconic DC character villain Penguin, will appear in the 2022 Batman film starring Robert Pattinson.
Meanwhile, the Irish actor resumed his role as Oz the 'Penguin' Cobb, the crime lord in the HBO Max-backed 2024 drama series.
This is one of Farrell's characters that garnered him a Golden Globe award.
Without a question, the actor delivered an outstanding performance in The Penguin series, but it also damaged him in various ways.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Colin admitted that playing a dark character like Oz may be unnerving.
He continued: "If you come out of watching a film for two hours, and it's a horrific film, and if you've seen cruelty take place that's disturbed you, you'll come out and your mood will be affected."
Penguin, according to the 49-year-old, has the potential to significantly alter your mood.
"So, if you're going into something as an actor and it's really well designed and you feel connected to it, it can affect your mood — of course, you're doing it 14 fucking hours a day" , he commented.
In Bruges star will reprise his role in Matt Reeves' planned Batman sequel, set to be released in 2027.
