In Danny Boyle's forthcoming horror film, Oppenheimer actor Cillian Murphy plays a cautious character.
The Irish actor plays a significant role in the original 2002 picture 28 Days Later. The producers are now working on a new sequel, titled 28 Years Later.
Previously, reports circulated on social media that the 49-year-old actress will not participate in the 2025 film.
However, filmmaker Boyle has officially confirmed that Cillian will feature in the next chapter to the trilogy, The Bone Temple, which is due to be released in 2026.
While discussing Murphy's role, Danny stated, "He's in the second one."
However, he did not divulge many information since he thought it would destroy the thrill.
"I should avoid giving away too much. "I'll be killed," he told IGN.
28 Years Later is a post-apocalyptic horror film starring Jodie Comer, Ralph Fienner, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Edvin Ryding, and others.
The highly anticipated film is set to premiere on June 20, 2025.
