Queen Camilla has allegedly cancelled her royal commitments this week, including a visit to the Field of Remembrance, due to health concerns, Buckingham Palace has announced.
The Duchess of Gloucester will represent the Queen at the annual unveiling of the Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey on Thursday.
Royal expert Chris Ship posted Camilla's photo on X (previously Twitter) alongside Buckingham Palace's statement.
The expert wrote: "Buckingham Palace claims she is now ill with a chest ailment, for which her doctor has suggested a brief period of rest. Her Majesty regrets having to withdraw from her commitments this week.
He ended by noting, "We understand she's resting at home in Wiltshire."
The Palace has not provided information on her care. She is said to be resting at home under doctor's care.
Queen Camilla and King Charles III recently returned to the United Kingdom after visiting Australia and Samoa.
A Buckingham Palace official recently provided an update on the King's health, stating that "King's health and spirits were positive after the trip, and he is expected to return to a more normal schedule of overseas travel in 2025."
