Meghan Markle's lifestyle business, American Riviera Orchard, is purportedly under inspection, according to a public relations specialist, who thinks the enterprise is in crisis mode.
The Duchess of Sussex soft-launched the company in March, offering a variety of lifestyle products, including food, home goods, and even pet food. However, many are still anticipating the formal unveiling.
Matt Yanofsky, a PR and branding specialist, raised serious concerns about the brand's future performance, saying, "If I were an investor, I would be trying to pull my money out."
He described the current mood around the company as "it looks like people are panicking to try and make money back."
However, he continued, "From the outside looking in, it appears like individuals are panicking in order to recover their losses. I'd be astonished if it worked, but all power to them. "I hope it does."
He highlighted that the brand's survival is dependent on whether Markle's fan following is substantial enough to support it. "It all boils down to this: Is Meghan's fan base large enough to sustain this?
The public relations specialist voiced worries, saying, "Anything is possible, but right now, if I were an investor, I would be concerned about how I would get my money out." They are claiming to have a brand.
Maybe it becomes one through the back door, but for now, it is worrisome if you are trying to generate money."
The brand has encountered a stumbling block with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), which has voiced concerns about the logo's design and advised against trademarking geographic areas.
