Ryan Reynolds has replied to Martha Stewart's unexpected comments regarding his off-screen behavior.
On November 2, the Deadpool star turned to X (previously Twitter) to respond to Stewart's remark that he is "not so funny" in real life.
Stewart, 83, made the remark on Bilt Rewards' November Rent Free game program, when she disclosed that Reynolds, 48, is her neighbor in Bedford, New York.
"He's probably on the list just 'cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don't see his face — Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those?" She inquired, before dropping the bombshell: "And you want to know something? He's not as amusing in real life. No, he's not really humorous. "He is very serious."
Reynolds responded with humor, adding, "I'd disagree with her. But I tried it once. The woman is remarkably agile. After about a mile, she had cut the distance significantly.
Stewart has named other superstars she'd want to get out with, like Brad Pitt and George Clooney. She also proposed Snoop Dogg and Taylor Swift before concluding, "I would take Ryan off [the list], and I would put in somebody else."
Despite her critique, Stewart recognized Reynolds' acting abilities: "He's a good actor." He can act humorous, but he's not funny. Maybe he can be humorous again... "I'm going to get into trouble."
The interaction occurs as Stewart promotes her new cookbook, Martha: The Cookbook, and the Netflix documentary Martha, which delves into her life and work.
