Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone SE 4 in the first quarter of 2025. While Apple has yet to provide official information on the iPhone SE 2022 replacement, a recent claim from Korea confirms earlier reports about its camera unit. The iPhone SE 4 is reported to include a 48-megapixel back camera, similar to the current iPhone 16. LG Innotek, an electronic component company, is purportedly going to supply the camera modules for the iPhone SE 4's front and back cameras.
iPhone SE 4 Rear and Front Camera Details Revealed
ET News reports, citing industry insiders, that LG Innotek would supply front and rear camera modules for the iPhone SE 4. Apple's next SE model will allegedly include a 48-megapixel back sensor and a 12-megapixel front camera. The iPhone SE (2022) features a 12-megapixel back camera and a 7-megapixel front camera.
The current revelation confirms prior speculations regarding the iPhone SE 4's camera arrangement. It was rumored to have the same primary and front-facing cameras as the iPhone 16. The future inexpensive iPhone model may lack the ultra-wide back sensor found on the vanilla iPhone 16.
Furthermore, the source claims that LG Innotek has begun manufacture of camera modules for the iPhone SE 4 at its Vietnam factory. Because the phone would allegedly cost $400 (approximately Rs. 35,000), LG Innotek is believed to employ current components rather than freshly designed cameras. Aside from LG Innotek, Foxconn and Cowell Electronics are expected to contribute cameras for the next phone. The OLED panels might come from LG Display or BOE.
The iPhone SE 4 is slated to launch in the first quarter of next year, most likely around March. It is said to be powered by Apple's A18 chipset with 8GB of RAM. It might have a 6.06-inch (1,170x2,532 pixel) LTPS OLED screen with a maximum brightness of 800 nits. The display might have Face ID functionality. It is anticipated to have a 3,279 mAh battery.
