Keanu Reeves proudly presented his new novel, The Book of Elsewhere, at a Waterstones event in London on Monday night.
The 60-year-old John Wick star appeared relaxed as he autographed copies of his book, which he co-authored with famed British author China Miéville.
Following his 2021 comic book effort BRZRKR, the actor has delved deeper into literature, exploring and developing on tales and characters from the comic series.
Keanu dressed casually for the signing event, wearing a dark blue denim jacket, trousers, and beige suede boots.
While he had an active role in the process, the actor has freely acknowledged Miéville as the main driving factor behind the novel's adaptation.
Speaking freely, the 60-year-old actor stated, "I didn't want to write the book." I wanted another creative to take that trip.
So, finally, China [Miéville] has written the novel." He made it clear that, while the tale is based on his original BRZRKR comic, the book adaption is mostly Miéville's effort.
Keanu's comments follow an embarrassing incident on BBC's The One Show earlier this year, when the actor appeared uncomfortable when probed about a possible romance with Speed co-star Sandra Bullock.
While Reeves warmly greeted their reunion, host Gabby Logan pressed on, implying a squandered opportunity for romance between the two.
Despite the interview mishap, he is still focused on his creative efforts, such as his impending roles in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Ballerina, as well as the release of his latest novel.
