This contains a patch for an accessibility error that allowed the iPhone's Ignore Trackpad option to reset after updating to iOS 18 beta. Another addition is the correction of a ChatGPT integration mistake that caused a failure while creating photos using ChatGPT in Writing Tools. It also resolves the difficulty to sign out on devices with MDM profiles when anonymity limitations are enabled.
Apple said iPhone customers reported an issue that prevented the Play Sound and Precision Finding capabilities of AirTags, AirPods, and third-party Find My-enabled devices from working. Another bug resulted in unexpected grouping behavior when recategorizing an email from a domain with a large number of messages. Certain texts in the texts app also did not show correctly. According to the Cupertino-based technology company, the iOS 18.2 RC 2 update resolves all of them.
The most recent RC release addresses more problems with AVFoundation, Stickers, and SwiftUI. Furthermore, it indicates known issues with Genmoji, UIKit, UIWritingToolsCoordinator, and Writing Tools.
