Selena Gomez's unexpected announcement drove her friends and admirers into a frenzy.
On Wednesday, December 11, the Calm Down singer took to Instagram to announce her engagement to boyfriend Benny Blanco.
"Forever begins now," Gomez, 32, said beside a photo of a large marquise-cut diamond ring on her finger.
Blanco, who the two-time Grammy-winning diva had been seeing since July 2023, added to the excitement with a sly statement, "Hey, wait…that's my wife."
"He is my absolute everything in my heart," she said in a now-deleted Instagram post by a fan account.
During that time, the Who Says singer also disclosed that she had been dating Blanco, real name Benjamin Joseph Levin, for half a year.
"It's been 6 months, bb," she told a fan.
On December 15, after confirming her affection in the comments area, Gomez made it official with Blanco on Instagram.
Since then, the two have been spotted on several occasions, including a courtside appearance in January, the 2024 Emmys, and many more.
