Prince Andrew's links to the royal family may not be enough to save him from his latest setback.
King Charles, who is losing patience with his disgraced brother, particularly following Andrew's Chinese espionage incident, has gone to great lengths to assist him, despite losing his royal titles and patronages.
However, when Andrew's relationship to a suspected spy from China was revealed, a national security risk arose. He was compelled to decline his invitation to the royal family's Christmas celebrations.
Andrew had also lied about breaking off his links to convicted Jeffery Epstein in 2010 when 'friendly' contact from after that time surfaced.
The disgraced royal has been keen to return to his royal life, but the monarch is ensuring that his brother does not attend any public events with the royals, which is a setback for his immediate family.
"King Charles III is expected to do everything he can to distance himself publicly and ensure that Andrew does not appear with any senior members of the royal family," royal analyst Hilary Fordwich told Fox News Digital.
Meanwhile, analyst Helena Chard commented that Andrew is "pining for his previous life, although he is lucky that he can throw himself into the proud grandfather role."
She stated about Andrew's indiscretions, "The royal family and the few friends he has left are sadly burdened with the negative fallout."
King Charles' decision comes after Andrew's ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, released an emotive statement regarding her health. Fergie has fought breast cancer and was recently diagnosed with melanoma.
Fergie's poignant message emphasized "forgiveness for yourself and your loved ones" while Andrew is mired in a years-long dispute.
