Prince William and Princess Kate have made a major announcement regarding their first royal engagement since boycotting the Baftas.
The Prince and Princess of Wales will go to Pontypridd in south Wales next week after taking their children to the Caribbean for their half-term trip with Carole Middleton.
Despite being a BAFTA patron since 2010, William chose not to attend this year's ceremony because he did not want to lose out on wonderful moments with his wife and children.
The pair will return to the UK this week, since Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, all returning to school on Monday.
However, Kensington Palace announced on Thursday that the Future King and Queen will go to Pontypridd ahead of St David's Day on Saturday.
Rebecca English, a royal analyst, also published the news on X (previously Twitter), stating, "The Prince and Princess of Wales will visit Pontypridd in South Wales."
Kate and William will spend time with locals on their tour. Pontypridd was one of many Welsh towns that experienced significant floods as a result of Storm Bert and Storm Darragh in December 2024.
