A forthcoming book by royal author Andrew Lownie is said to raise new issues about Prince Andrew's money and worldwide operations.
The Lives of the Duke and Duchess of York, due out later this year, looks into the troubled prince's lifestyle, raising questions about how he pays his excessive spending.
According to Lownie, despite the idea that Andrew lives a solitary life at Royal Lodge, he maintains an active commercial presence, traveling discreetly to the Middle East and Switzerland.
The book also investigates Andrew's links to accused Chinese spy Yang Tengbo, raising questions about his financial dealings.
Andrew's multimillion-pound possessions, which include a £220,000 Bentley, a £18 million Swiss chalet, and a 32-room mansion, have long fueled conjecture about his financial situation. However, attempts to examine his dealings have been thwarted.
Lownie alleges that government departments, including the Foreign Office and the Department for Business and Trade, have denied having records on Andrew's term as a UK trade ambassador, despite his publicly sponsored position.
Lownie speculates that King Charles may be hoping the scandal surrounding his brother dissipates, but based on existing evidence, public interest in Andrew's problems is unlikely to lessen very soon.
