Coldplay continues to captivate the BTS ARMY with their great affection, love, and respect for K-pop legend Jin.
Fans were treated to an emotional unexpected reunion on Saturday, April 19, two years after Jin and Coldplay's vocalist Chris Martin joined the stage at the band's 2022 concert in Argentina.
On Monday, April 21, the band shared a rare behind-the-scenes peek at their latest collaboration—the reunion, which marked a full circle moment—via a joint Instagram post with Jin, 32.
The post included a series of images, with the cover image showing Jin, whose true name is Kim Seok-jin, and Chris, 48, rehearsing at Goyang Stadium.
The eldest BTS member, dressed in a brown shirt layered under a rainproof transparent jacket and loose baggy slacks, looked to be fully at ease throughout the practice with Chris.
With this funny yet poignant gesture, the idol entered the stage to join Chris, who exchanged a deep bow before performing The Astronaut and the Universe.
Fans soon filled the comments section with love and thanks for the band's continuing support of Jin.
A single remark said it best: "Seeing Chris welcome him with so much love, the deep respect for BTS still so alive, and the genuine affection Jin has for this friendship… it was truly moving."
Notably, the reunion was even more significant because Jin's last performance before enlisting in the military was with Coldplay, and now, two years later, his first stage appearance after duty is with the same band.
