Ed Sheeran, an English singer-songwriter, appears to be dissatisfied with supergroup Band Aid ahead of the release of a new soundtrack.
A popular 1980s band has decided to commemorate their 40th anniversary by re-releasing a new version of their 2014 song, "Do They Know It's Christmas?"
Coldplay, Bastille, Harry Styles, Sam Smith, Paloma Faith, and Ed will all contribute vocals to the new tune.
According to the Shape of You singer, he was not requested to provide vocals for the song. However, he confessed that if given the option, he would have refused the offer.
On Instagram, Sheeran said, "My consent was not sought on this new Band Aid 40 release. If I had the option, I would have politely denied the usage of my vocals."
This entire incident transformed his 'narrative' regarding Band Aid in no time.
The 33-year-old also commented: "A decade on and my understanding of the narrative associated with this has changed, eloquently explained by @fuseodg."
"This is simply my own opinion; I hope it's a forward-thinking one. "Love to everyone x," the Perfect singer ended.
Band Aid's new album will be premiered on a British radio station on November 25.
