Eddie Murphy, an American actor and comedian, has signed up to feature in the biography of Parliament-Funkadelic guitarist George Clinton.
The inspirational film will be helmed by Bill Condon, who previously directed Dreamgirls (2006), which starred Murphy as James Early.
Eddie and Bill have teamed together to bring this interesting concept to life, according to Deadline.
The two of them will collaborate on the Clinton documentary for Amazon MGM Studios. Meanwhile, the film's script was written by Virgil Williams, who previously penned the scripts for Mudbound and The Piano Lesson.
Catherine Davis, a fanatical Clinton lover, suggested the concept to the Beverly Hills Cop star.
The 63-year-old actor will produce the picture through his Eddie Murphy Productions.
Charisse Hewitt-Webster of Murphy's production firm will serve as an executive producer, along with Jeff Jampol, Archie Ivy, and George Clinton himself, whose presence is significant.
Clinton has a large number of supporters globally. Prince once claimed that his band, Parliament Funkadelic, 'changed the world'.
Eddie Murphy, on the other hand, will co-star with Pete Davidson and Keke Palmer in the upcoming heist film The Pickup.
