Prince Harry has announced his plans in an unexpected reply to Buckingham Palace's generous invitation to him during his tour to the UK.
The Duke of Sussex, who is battling for his family's ironclad security in the UK, raised eyebrows by declining the Palace's offer to stay at the royal house during his May visit to the UK.
According to a new book, Harry selected a hotel over a royal home for "security reasons".
According to a royal book, the Duke of Sussex felt'more safe in hotel' due to security fears when in his own nation.
In his freshly released version of the book, Robert Hardman attempted to explain the circumstances surrounding the Duke's journey to the UK in May for the Invictus Games' tenth anniversary service.
The author has released "Charles III: New King." A new court. The Inside Story," in hardcover, with three more chapters.
He later wrote: "The King and his staff had been well aware of Prince Harry's travel plans, however, to the extent that the monarch had even offered his son accommodation at Buckingham Palace."
He continued by claiming: "The Prince had chosen to stay at a hotel instead. 'We were told it was for security reasons."
He continued: "A member of the King's staff replies to Harry's rejection, stating 'I'm not sure you could go someplace more safe than the Palace. Perhaps he was concerned about the mice.
"Sources close to the Sussexes explained that any Palace accommodation would, by definition, be inside a high-profile location and, without appropriate 'security provision', it would be safer to stay at an anonymous hotel."
Hardman also wrote about how the Duke of Sussex, 40, traveled to the UK quickly after learning of his father's illness diagnosis in February, alleging the King is eager to heal ties with his son so that he may see his grandchildren, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three, more frequently.
