The tweet has now become a reality, as the 31-year-old musician sadly died on October 16 after jumping from the third storey balcony of the CasaSur Palermo hotel in Argentina.
Payne's funeral was held Monday, November 20, a month after his death. His memorial brought together his former bandmates, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Niall Horan, after nine years.
The 1D guys, who attended the burial with sorrowful hearts, were seen arriving at the church in Wolverhampton. They were all visibly saddened by their brother's death.
