Regardless of his royal status, Prince William has always prioritized giving his children a "normal" upbringing.
The Duke of Cambridge, together with Princess Kate, has worked hard to ensure that Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are nurtured with a global perspective that goes beyond their royal advantages.
William's desire to provide his children with a conventional childhood originates from his own upbringing, in which he was aware of his future obligations as King. Before they begin their royal duties, William wants to guarantee that his children have a childhood full of emotional support and normalcy.
"As far as we are concerned within our family unit, we are a normal family," he told me in 2016. "I love my children as any parent does, and I believe George loves me as any son does his father. We are extremely normal in that regard."
William is also aware of the responsibility his children would someday have in their royal responsibilities. He wants children to recognize the importance of their roles in society and the responsibilities that come with them. Drawing on his own upbringing, notably the teachings imparted by his late mother, Princess Diana, he is determined to ensure that his children understand that not everyone is as wealthy as they are, and that some people "need a little bit of a helping hand."
William intends to take George and his siblings to needy shelters, much as Diana did with William and Harry as children, in order to teach them comprehend their privileges.
"I would ask the youngsters, 'Why are you there? What's going on? I believe it is in all of our interests, and it is the correct thing to do, to expose the children at the appropriate level and in the appropriate language, so that they can comprehend."
"It wasn't just Diana - Charles also wanted his sons to have a better understanding of life outside the Palace walls," she told OK.com. "They both came from the same perspective of wanting to raise those boys with an understanding of normal life outside the confines of royal protocol."
