Prince William and Princess Kate are tackling a difficulty that many modern parents face: parenting children in the digital era.
Jason Knauf, the royal couple's former royal, recently revealed some of their worries during an interview on 60 Minutes Australia.
"His childhood in front of the media was quite difficult at times," Knauf stated of William. "And then he knew that he was going to be raising his kids to deal with social media and mobile phones and all of that stuff."
He went on to say that the Prince and Princess of Wales, who were formerly "worried mum and dad behind the scenes," had gained confidence in recent years.
William and Kate have expressed their concerns about technology's influence on youngsters. In 2018, they paid a visit to the BBC, where William opened out about the difficulties that parents encounter.
"For too many families, phones and social media have shattered the sanctity and protection of the home," he added, acknowledging there was a "distinct absence of guidance" on how to handle it.
William has long urged for internet corporations to take greater responsibility, asking them to establish safer online environments for children. "Surely you can partner with parents to make the online world a safe place of discovery, friendship, and education," he told me.
