Buckingham Palace issued King Charles' major statement after Princess Anne played a significant royal role on her brother's behalf.
On the 'poignant' 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, the queen sent a special letter to veterans from Australia and New Zealand.
In his note, he paid gratitude to those who served and died in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions.
The King wrote: "On Anzac Day, as we commemorate the 110th anniversary of the Gallipoli landings, I wanted to pay a special tribute to Australian and New Zealand veterans, and those who are on active service today."
It is vital to note that King Charles gave his sister, Anne, a major role during her two-day journey to Gallipoli, Turkey.
