Justin Bieber's former close friends are expressing questions — and worries — about the pop star's recent life choices.
According to a source who spoke with People, the Never Say Never hitmaker is dealing with much more than simply Hollywood stress.
"He is facing a lot of different demons right now," the insider stated.
"He is making some really poor decisions lately, further impacting friendships, money, and business."
While Bieber has not spoken publicly, the insider says, "People are worried about him."
Are there any particular stresses that are creating concern? His historical links to Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is facing a trial, as well as a troubled relationship with longtime manager Scooter Braun, who is leaving artist management in 2024.
Furthermore, Bieber recently announced a public withdrawal from his own apparel line, Drew House, writing on Instagram Stories (before deleting it): "I Justin Bieber am no longer affiliated in this company. Drew House does not reflect me, my family, or my life. If you're [sic] partying with me, the human Justin Bieber, don't spend your money at Drew House."
That mic drop was followed by the announcement that the Grammy winner is developing a new fashion label called SKYLRK.
However, while one apparel line fades and another emerges, some former team members are raising concerns.
In a column published by The Hollywood Reporter on April 16, one ex-associate painted a grim image, "Seeing him disintegrate like this... it's the embodiment of someone not living their purpose." He is lost. There is no one defending him since no one is ready to turn him down. "You say no, and you get blown out."
Another startling allegation from the same story is that the artist is still buried in millions of dollars in debt, purportedly due to the cancelation of his Justice Tour in 2022.
But Bieber's representative was not having it. In a statement to People, the representative responded.
"This is simply clickbait nonsense based on anonymous — and plainly misinformed —'sources,' who are sad that they no longer work with Justin.
As Justin forges his own path ahead, these unneeded stories and incorrect assumptions will persist. However, they will not stop him from being devoted to the correct path," they added.
